Who We Are
The Dentalex team are a group of individuals, each with their own skillset, dedicated to supporting our clients and partners. Founded, and still operating as a family business, our directors Dennis and Glenn ensure the highest level of service is offered at all times. Our services cover the core industries of Dental, Medical, Veterinary and Podiatory / Chiropody.
Meet The Team
Dennis Sproul
Operations Director
Dennis is responsible for the operations of Dentalex & has been part of the business since 2009, ensuring we meet our quality management standard (ISO 9001) as well as preparing the business to achieve the environmental management standard (ISO 14001). Dennis also helps to support our customers and engineers with a well-established knowledge of the product range he can resolve any queries with ease.
Glenn Sproul
Technical Director
Glenn has been a key part of Dentalex since 2007 and is responsible for supporting users and our network of engineers across the UK & Northern Ireland. With extensive knowledge of the products as well as an in depth understanding of the relevant industry standards, he is able to answer any difficult question about our product range.
Megan Harris
Accounts
Megan joined us in 2015 and quickly immersed herself in all aspects of the company. Megan’s primary roles include overseeing Accounts and Invoicing, but is able to assist with all aspects of Dentalex daily life. Megan supports clients and team members alike, and is a vital part of the Dentalex Family.
Megan’s young son keeps her busy, and they share their family home with 2 Guinea Pigs and our team mascot Mabel.
Dan Wilford
Sales Manager
With near 15 years experience in sales and business development, Dan joined the Dentalex team in 2021 to assist and support the natural growth we’ve experienced. He’s always keen to talk about how our products can assist your needs. With a background in engineering, packaging and coffee he’s always up for a friendly chat.
Outside of work Dan enjoys spending time with his young family, and 2 dogs. A keen sportsman, he’ll never say no to a ‘kick-about’.
James Ralph
Customer Services
James has been with Dentalex since 2019 and has quickly grown into a key team member. He helps to maintain relationships with both independent clients and groups, ensuring that practices can keep themselves operating smoothly. James also helps to support Midmark’s legacy products in the UK, with the supply of spare parts as well as coordinating with technical service to resolve any issues that may arise.
In his free time he enjoys to swim both in a pool and rivers as well as looking after his two goats.
Jane Laurie
Office Administrator
Joining Dentalex in 2017 from a background in customer services and finance, Jane offers administrative support to the Dentalex team. As well as general office duties, Jane is also responsible for managing and monitoring credit control. Known and liked by clients and colleagues, Jane is a key member of the office team.
When not working, Jane enjoys gardening and various crafts and is a busy Secretary of the local WI.
Ken Laurie
Engineer
Ken has been with Dentalex since 2016, quickly establishing himself as a key member of the engineering team. He brings over 20 years experience as an automotive engineer, enabling him to always find a solution to even the most complex issues. Naturally friendly and positive, he’s highly regarded by both clients and teammates.
Whether working on his classic car, walking, or playing golf, Ken loves being outdoors. And he’ll always find an excuse for a BBQ!
Andy Greener
Engineer
Andy Joined us in 2021 and brings with him a wealth of experience. An expert engineer, he has worked in the medical sector for over 30 years, both here in the UK and South Africa. With a keen interest in Decontamination he has applied this interest to become a specialist in Dental & Veterinary Instrument Processing, Anaesthetic and Medical Devices.
Away from work Andy’s hobbies include walking, gym, jewellery making and canoeing with his son.
Michael Markey
Engineer
Michael is a multi-skilled engineer with experience in a range of sectors and trades. He re-trained as an Autoclave engineer in 2003, and joined Dentalex in 2021. Michael loves talking to clients, passing on his knowledge and advice. Respected by customers and colleagues alike, he’s always keen to share his experiences over a cup of tea!
A home, Michael keeps himself busy with building projects and is a seasoned ‘DIYer’, though most of his time is now spent spoiling his grandchildren.
Tommy Dunn
Engineer
Joining Dentalex in 2021, Tommy has spent 24 years working within the industry. His specialist areas are safety inspection, validation, servicing & repair of autoclaves and anaesthesia equipment. With a vast wealth of knowledge he’s keen to assist with any equipment issues.
Outside work Tommy enjoys motorsports, mechanics and music. Our very own rockstar can still be seen gigging most weekends.
